Dear Leaders of Canada,
Finally the debate over the cause of Global Warming is over. At last the seriousness of the situation has been recognised prompting the electorate to make this their number one priority. You have all made it plain that each one of you knows that we need to address this issue. So, there should be no problem implementing the kind of policy that will effectively reduce Canada's greenhouse emissions; there should be no reason for cross-party haggling, prevaricating or procrastination and no astro-turfed half measures designed to pull the wool over our eyes... Let's stop subsidising the big emitters, let's make it profitable for businesses and individuals to cut their emissions, let's make it more expensive for them not to. In short, let's have a carbon tax. We need to reduce our emissions by 60% to 90%, if we want to have any chance of safeguarding our economy, our future and our world. I am ready to do whatever it takes - are you?
Yours sincerely,
